Lighting designer Tim Dunn used nearly 300 Robe fixtures in his colourful and vibrant design for Miss World 2009, which was staged at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was the largest number of Robe fixtures to date that Dunn has used on a single event - and the results were truly stunning!

Let's Dance again!

Zum Ende des Jahres 2024 war es wieder so weit: Eine Auswahl von Tänzerinnen und Tänzern der erfolgreichen TV-Tanzshow „Let's Dance“ waren auf Arenatour. Und genau wie in den 17 Staffeln der Sendung hatte die fulminante Lichtinszenierung auch live einen entscheidenden Anteil am Erfolg. Florian Schmitt (Showtime Design) verantwortete das Lichtdesign und die Lichtprogrammierung und verließ sich bei den Scheinwerfern vor allem auf Robe: Insgesamt kamen 100 ESPRITE sowie 46 Tarrantula zum Einsatz.

All lighting designers love challenges and none more so than Crt Birsa from design studio Blackout, who fitted nearly 400 lighting fixtures into a 20 x 20 metre space in Studio 1 at the Slovenian National television station – Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTVSLO) – complex in Ljubljana.

Nashville – well known as a vibrant and major hub for the production and live entertainment industry – staged its own superlative concert – “Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” – at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park to celebrate the new year rollover, featuring an impressive artist lineup and an eye-popping lighting and production design created by Robert W. Peterson of Real World Lighting.
